Contributing to the Website

All contributions must be your own and/or properly attributed.

By contributing, you are granting Waste Nothing all rights to the content, including to host, store, modify, and distribute it. Additionally, you have the same rights to a copy of your contributions as they exist at the time and as contributed by you; this refers to text and images on their own, not as part of Waste Nothing.

Privacy Policy

Waste Nothing tracks information about those who use the website, both registered and unregistered users, for the purpose of bettering the website. User contributions are made public, as that is the purpose of the contributions. In fact, all information may be made public unless explicitly stated otherwise right here.

Your email address, account password, IP address, and precise location (i.e., explicitly-granted geographic coordinates) will not be made public or otherwise shared in non-aggregate form without your permission. This naturally excludes any of those pieces of information which are added to public contributions, e.g. including an email address in a tip’s contact information.

Additionally, Waste Nothing makes use of third-party tools from organizations such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter. We do not control these and cannot make any claims regarding the privacy of the information the third parties may collect.
